Verdict

WARNAQ, a Naas maiden winner in November, didn't really take to hurdles but made a very impressive return to the Flat on heavy ground at Navan where he easily landed a handicap over a mile. He should be even better suited by today's trip and can defy a 9lb rise in the weights. Song Of Namibia scored twice on good going last summer and made a promising comeback at Leopardstown where he wasn't beaten far into sixth in a much better race than this so he rates a threat. Two For Tea ran very well when runner-up at Navan in October and was then elevated into Listed company but was outclassed. St Lawrence Gap alternates between the Flat and hurdles and wins his share though generally on faster ground than he'll face here.
