Verdict

Wrap Star was just beaten in a Dundalk maiden when last seen but is now 0-24. Winning hurdler and bumper Magna Cartor is lightly raced on the Flat, however, and only found one too good over a slightly shorter trip at Leopardstown last week. Tommy Welsh has won twice on the all-weather and is still unexposed on this surface while Cardinal Palace is a decent hurdler, though hasn’t won anywhere in more than two years. ST LAWRENCE GAP has to concede weight all round but loves to hear his hooves rattle and has only been raised 4lb for a recent win at Leopardstown – a return to a longer trip won’t be a problem.
