In depth

Verdict

Love On Top appeared to appreciate stepping up to 2m4f at Clonmel though she's proved she has the pace for this by landing a bumper earlier. Clara Mc Cloud was a progressive point-to-pointer before joining Gordon Elliott and though fortunate to make a winning debut for the yard at Tramore that run suggested there would be more to come. Emily Gray completed a double here, where she had Love On Top behind, and at Gowran before running even better behind Dick Dundee at Cork where she made a mess of the last. She looks certain to go well but the vote goes to LEAD KINDLY LIGHT, who is better over fences though connections are taking advantage of a much lower hurdles rating and can be rewarded.
