Verdict

DERRINROSS stepped out of maiden company to make most over this trip on testing ground in a Cork Grade 3 and will take some catching in that kind of form. Cap York showed that staying is his game when battling to victory in a Navan maiden while Defi Bleu ran very well in a Grade 2 at that same meeting when he had Monbeg Worldwide behind. The latter race was won by Willie Mullins who has two entered here. Dual bumper winner Dorrells Pierji made an impressive start over timber at Listowel then put a poor run at Tipperary behind him to score at Galway but Pleasure Dome was behind the selection at Cork when appearing to have had every chance and looks held.
