In depth

Verdict

BLAST OF KOEMAN did well in bumpers and started off in decent form over hurdles but hasn't improved as expected. He would have been placed at Clonmel but for falling at the last and has contested better races subsequently so gets another chance in a poor opener. Inspector Caldy did a bit better at the last meeting and wouldn't need much more to get competitive while Lyreen Lad, who started 100/1 in his first two runs, was well supported at Down Royal in January but found no improvement. It's difficult to get excited about the remainder with experience and the market will tell us more about the newcomers.
