In depth

Verdict

Robin Des Foret ran no sort of race on his comeback in a Naas Grade 3 but would have an obvious chance on last season's form though his stable also run BURROWS SAINT, who looks more progressive. Ruby Walsh has chosen him and his mount overcame a couple of bad mistakes to win easily at Gowran and looks destined for better things. Moyhenna put a couple of mishaps behind her to land a Grade 2 on this track in real style though that was on heavy going and she's unlikely to get those conditions here. Roaring Bull easily landed a Naas handicap before well beaten in the Listed Close Brothers Handicap at Cheltenham while Moonshine Bay has been tackling much better company since scoring comfortably in a beginners' race at Thurles.
