In depth

Verdict

The Holy One has been beaten off this mark in two handicaps and, though landing a Thurles maiden in January, looks to have plenty to do against the four-year-olds. Star Max beat a big field of maidens at Gowran last month before heading for Cheltenham where he wasn't disgraced behind well-supported stable companion Band Of Outlaws in the Fred Winter. He should get into contention though a line through the winner gives him something to find with MAZE RUNNER. Willie Mullins' charge, a debut winner over timber at Cork, couldn't handle Grade 2 company on his next start but was only beaten just over four lengths by Band Of Outlaws at Naas. He was flattered by his proximity to the winner but that looks the stand-out form here. Lever Du Soleil has been running well and has plenty of experience while hat-trick seeking Whatsafellatodo may prove best of the older horses after changing stables since completing a double in the autumn.
