Verdict
White Plains sets the benchmark for the form here, nine of his career wins having come at this track. Lord Brex was a useful hurdler but has become unreliable although, to be fair to him, he's had his fair share of injuries. African Dawn won a 12-furlong maiden here in November 2001 but has shown little in subsequent starts, mainly over jumps. Al's Alibi has bits of form - most notably when winning two low-grade contests at Southwell last March - so is entitled to some consideration. Dom Shadeed has winning form at a mile but you have to go back a long way to find it. Our Glenard steps up in trip after finishing fourth in a course seller that has produced winning form. From the David Elsworth yard, Dakhira has shown very little in the way of form so far. Eachy Peachy has bits of form and cannot be disregarded on her best runs in this low-class affair. This is not particularly good race and White Plains, who gets on well with this track, should not be far away and gets the vote.
