Verdict
A tricky race where the pin comes down on PAN AMERICAN. The gelding has a course and distance win to his name and went close to repeating that last time when narrowly beaten from a 2lb lower mark. He does have the worst of the draw to overcome but he tends to get out of the stalls well and might still prove good enough. Dear Maurice has decent form over further but might struggle to go the pace here, while Cerito is on a handy mark but continues to disappoint and could not be backed with any confidence. Bobs Dreamflight is 4lbs below a previous course and distance win and would be very interesting if supported.
