Verdict
Le Torrent has won three of his last four, all on Polytrack, and has only been raised a further 3lb. Colwood was behind last time at Kempton and was earlier beaten by Navajo Star at Chelmsford, though there should be little between that pair today. Mundersfield looks held on that run while Falcon Cliffs hasn’t won since making his debut here in 2017. Atomic Jack won at Kempton last month and was just beaten off his new mark over track and trip next time so goes on the short-list but it will be disappointing if ALABASTER can’t figure in a race like this off a mark of 78 with Gavin Ashton taking off a further 3lb.
