In depth

Verdict

A field large in numbers but low in quality goes to post for the first on the card but on closer inspection not many can be giving a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Fancy Foxtrot, Thirteen Tricks and Keelung and we will take a chance on Fancy Foxtrot The colt from the Brian Meehan yard is game and consistent and a reproduction of his latest second behind Carini would make him hard to beat. Thirteen Tricks rates the main danger he was a fair third behind Betty Stogs last time and he will not be far away if he acts on the surface. Keelung is a well bred newcomer from a yard that has done well with its juveniles this season and he will not have to be anything special to win on his debut. Of the remainder Oh Golly Gosh at least has experience of the surface and he is sure to improve on his debut third behind Sweetest Revenge but we are happy to side with Fancy Foxtrot.
