In depth

Verdict

Karate could go close having won off a lower mark over track and trip at this time last year. The unreliable Indian Violet also has claims if on one of his going days but TOTAL OBSESSION looks a safer bet to run her race. A course and distance winner in March, Mark Hoad's mare looks capable of scoring off today's higher mark on her latest second at this track to Poetry Writer. Chandrayaan's recent Kempton win came in an even lower grade than this but Orla has scope for improvement.
