Verdict

Dolphina is a fascinating contender on her belated debut but we much prefer SHAREDAH, who can get the better of Blast Furnace. Sir Michael Stoute's filly really should have won on her first visit to the racecourse when giving an average (at best) ride and although the form has yet to be truly tested, the winner looked smart and John Gosden's 80-rated William Van Gogh was well held in sixth. Kept to the same trip and with ground conditions likely to be similar, this daughter of Pivotal should take all the beating. Blast Furnace has also had the one start and she travelled well before weakening into fifth in what looked a fair maiden. Peter Chapple-Hyam's filly cost 520,000 Euros and still holds entries in the Ribblesdale and the Irish Oaks, so it's fair to say connections hope she's up to taking a race of this nature, but she needs to find plenty of improvement for that first run. Dolphina needs a market check making her first start for Henry Cecil. Owned by the Niarchos Family, this Kingmambo filly is bred to be decent but in all probability will improve for her first visit to the track. Inner Angel is a well-bred daughter of Motivator whose form is stacking up - the horse that beat her last time took third in the Musidora at York - so whilst she's not from the most fashionable of yards Jack Mitchell's mount should again run well. Al Jaadl hails from a stable in form and has gone well in two strong maidens so would be a factor if continuing to progress but Sharedah should've won on her debut and will only improve - she gets a confident vote.
