Verdict

Final Day was sent to Scotland to land two bumpers, carrying a penalty for a narrow victory over Chester Lad at Musselburgh in the second of those events. The runner-up has won twice over hurdles subsequently so the form looks strong. Gordon Elliott's charge has to concede 13lbs to CREDIT BOX, who amazingly is still a maiden after 19 career starts. The mare has run some excellent races in defeat including at Clonmel last time when only headed on the run-in by Guzzle An Go in a competitive handicap and will prove difficult to beat in that kind of mood. Three-times flat winner Captain Cole has yet to produce the goods over timber but Patrick Kelly's UK recruit Major Harry has shown plenty of potential and is one to keep an eye on for the future.
