Verdict
Saviours Spirit is taken as the percentage call in this Maiden Stakes with Toronto Heights and Siera Spirit highlighted as the likely dangers. The selection was a beaten favourite over this course and distance last month when finishing a closing second behind Ever Cheerful. He is clearly nothing special but should be capable of picking up his fair share of races and this should be within his grasp. Siera Spirit could give him the most to do as she had no luck in running and was the eyecatching finisher in that same race at Lingfield on her racecourse debut. She gave the impression in the paddock beforehand that she would come on for the run, and if she is supported in the market it could pay to take the hint. Toronto Heights was a good second behind Mount Vettore last time at Wolverhampton, and his trainer believes he is capable of winning a race, but he may have to settle for place money on this occasion. Pure Emotion and Velvet Touch are the others to keep an eye on in the market, but for the winner we return to Saviours Spirit.
