        Verdict

        RUX RUXX was sent off favourite on only her second start in a handicap and duly obliged over course and distance. She can go in again with further progress expected. Dear Bruin won easily over track and trip in June but a 10lb rise proved beyond her back here last time when finishing behind fourth-placed Assassinate. Wild Dancer has been in better form of late and was placed at the track on her penultimate start but Golden Slam missed the whole of last year, though there should be more to come after a modest recent effort at Newmarket.
