        Verdict

        A tight race where Hulcote Rose can go well under Richard Hughes after running a good race off this mark at Kempton recently. Overall, though, his form is a bit in and out so a better bet looks to be ANNE OF KIEV. The mare has run well off 1lb higher the last twice, behind some well handicapped runners, so with this looking slightly easier on paper she has a good chance. Elhamri didn't have a smooth passage but still won well last time so a 4lb mark rise might not stop a big run while Opus Dei was only just denied on his return from a break so now that bit fitter for the run should show more again. A few in with chances but Anne Of Kiev looks marginally the best.
