Verdict
The shortlist here contains Tayif, Another Glimpse, Point Of Dispute, Port St Charles, Red Sovereign and Sweetest Revenge, with the vote just going to Another Glimpse. If adjusted official ratings are anything to go by then the selection holds a leading chance. He is also a course and distance winner and has shown enough of late to be given a chance, particularly as the booking of Richard Hughes catches the eye. Tayif is value for more than the bare margin of victory last time and can be expected to put in a bold show, while Port St Charles was a fair second here in November and can also be expected to go well if the first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect. Point Of Dispute is a light of former years but should hold a chance at this level and Red Sovereign has enough in the way of recent form - plus the fact that he comes out well on adjusted ratings - to be considered. Of the others, Sweetest Revenge, a course and distance winner as a two-year-old, catches the eye but she does seem to be on a downward curve. Once again, then, for the winner we turn to Another Glimpse.
