Verdict
In a tricky race, Small Stakes gets the vote ahead of Danetime Lord and Quantum Leap. Working through these and Marko Jadeo is back to a winning Wolverhampton six-furlong mark. Sailor King would hold claims if recapturing his best French form as he steps up to seven furlongs for the first time in Britain. Danetime Lord remains competitive as he bids win a third race from his last four starts, but Small Stakes is weighted to get the better of him based on recent course and distance form and we reckon that he can go well. His Master's Voice and Special Place have around a length and a length and a half to find based on that form. You can never rule out Quantum Leap from proceedings at this type of level from his current mark, while the lightly-raced Baba Ghanoush should be monitored in the betting along with the first-time blinkered Irish raider Nightstrike. Finally, it would not entirely be a surprise if Zazous ran well from his good draw and Night Wolf gets a fair mention as he comes here on the back of a course and distance win. Overall, though, we will nominate Small Stakes as the selection.
