      Verdict

      High Commisioner produced his best run on fast going at Newbury but has disappointed in two subsequent starts. FINAL ORDERS, beaten narrowly on fast going his debut at Leicester, didn't handle soft ground at Ripon and today's conditions will be in his favour. He gets the nod as Midnight's Gift was still beaten nine lengths when runner-up on the Polytrack here last month. None of the remainder have shown much though Parisian Affair hasn't run badly in bumpers.
