        Verdict

        Pattie is getting closer and finished runner-up over a longer trip at Wolverhampton last time. Naupaka was not beaten far when third over a mile at Newcastle recently and has every chance while both Traveller and Critical Thinking may improve enough to get involved. But a chance is taken on a newcomer and PALERMO may be up to winning at the first time of asking. He’s a half-brother to a couple of winners including the useful handicapper and winning hurdler Thomas Hobson and is preferred to State Residence and Indian Dandy.
