In depth
Verdict
A few of these have already been expensive to follow and the likelihood is that the majority will continue in the ways they have become accustomed to for the foreseeable future. However, recent form suggests that perseverance will pay off for the connections of Ask The Clerk and this ex-Irish gelding is given the vote of confidence over the frustrating Blueberry Rhyme, Multahab and Pure Folly, who are expected to scrap it out for the minor honours. However, the form of Ask The Clerk's latest start was given a solid boost when Toronto Heights finally rid himself of the maiden tag earlier in the week and that effort looks good enough in the context of this race to give Hugh Collingridge's charge the vote today. The son of Turtle Island does have a slight query to answer regarding this surface but he need only run to the form of his latest start to provide us with the right answer. Blueberry Rhyme is not one for a big-stakes play but he makes the most appeal out the rest if the market speaks against Ask The Clerk today.
