In depth

Verdict

Featherlight, Silca Key and Royal Tender are three against the field in a competitive handicap and the narrow nomination is given to Featherlight. The selection won well last time out when beating Color Man in a claimer. He returns to handicaping off what looks a fair mark and from a good draw he looks a value bet. Silca Key rates the main danger on her best form but all her best efforts on the turf have come with more cut in the ground and she looks opposable on this surface. Royal Tender is another that could go well on his best form but he has been dissapointing of late for no apparent reason and first time blinkers will need to revive him if he is to trouble the principals. Of the remainder My Mentor could improve for this longer trip and should be watched in the market while Like To Golf enters handicaps off what looks a handy mark but he may need the run after a 263 day break and with this in mind for the winner we return to Featherlight to small stakes.
