Verdict
Plenty of out of form animals here, so Magic Red must have a great chance of landing the hat-trick, Mandoob and Diamond Orchid may provide most danger. Mick Ryan's gelding has improved with each outing this term culminating in a a six length thrashing of Ipledgeallegiance at Southwell last time. If as effective on this different surface he will be very hard to beat. Mandoob has performed with credit in two sellers over twelve furlongs here recently and will be a major threat if he can stay the extra distance. Diamond Orchid has had a very successful campaign so far with victories at Windsor and Yarmouth. His most recent effort at Salisbury has to be forgiven as it was too bad to be true, and if staying this extra quarter of a mile he is certain to be in the shake up. Royale Pearl apart, the others have a lot of questions to answer, so it does appear to be quite a straight forward task for Magic Red who is a confident choice.
