Verdict
A big field of juvenile maidens line up for the opener on Windsor's card with the best form having been shown by the trio of Moth Ball, One Putra and Prince Samos but this may go to one of the many newcomers with preference for Godolphin's One Good Thing. The boys in blue have had plenty of success with their two-year-olds and this American-bred colt makes plenty of appeal on pedigree. Jamie Osborne's Moth Ball found just another Godolphin inmate, Nightfall, a short head too good for him in a newcomers race on his debut and should improve for the run. He strictly has the beating of Prince Samos on running that day, although there may not be a great deal to choose between the pair. The Michael Jarvis-trained One Putra showed promise on his Goodwood debut last month and should step up on that effort. Willie Muir's Enforcer ran well on his first start over course and distance and is entitled to strip fitter for the outing, while James Eustace's Dralion has shown a similar level of form in both his starts to date but may do better when handicapped. Nerys Dutfield introduces a likely type on breeding in My Gacho. However, her runners tend to need the run and, along with Brian Meehan's newcomer Rebuttal, is probably best watched. Fitness is unlikely to be a problem for One Good Thing though and he gets the vote.
