Verdict
Malak Al Moulouk showed enough on his debut in a handicap here last month over 10 furlongs to suggest that he can win this and is taken to score at the main expense of Pont Neuf and Man The Gate. The last mentioned is only 4lbs higher than when scoring at Epsom two starts ago but was disappointing on a return visit there last time. A bigger threat then may come from the David Evans-trained Pont Neuf, a dual course and distance winner last month, who remains feasibly well treated. Martin Pipe's Desert Air and Mark Brisbourne's Saspys Lad both return to the flat after a spell hurdling and have to be respected from their good yards. Stolen Song is closely matched with Pont Neuf on running here last month and is another to consider along with Absinther, while a market move for Kalou would be of interest. The one they all have to beat though is Malak Al Moulouk. The James Eustace-trained gelding is less exposed than most of these and should improve for the slightly longer trip tonight.
