In depth

Verdict

Plenty of these have sound course form to their name and not too many can be confidently ruled out. However, Fife And Drum is a tough horse to pass on his day and he is taken to hold off Absolute Utopia, White Emir and the frustrating My Retreat, who has the ability to go close but does not always consent to run up to his best. A statement that has not been leveled at Fife And Drum on too many occasions and the six-year-old has every chance of recording his third victory at this track from his long career to date. The booking of Richard Quinn is also a positive at this course and the partnership will be very difficult to master from almost the best of the draw. Dispol Evita is another who can get involved at the finish for a share of the place money and a watchful eye should be kept on her in the betting. She is set to race off a very lenient mark in comparison to her past form but her latest efforts have been below par so Fife and Drum looks the more reliable option for win only purposes.
