Verdict

CORRIOLANUS is not exactly a confident choice here given that he has clearly had problems, but nonetheless it is hoped that he is good enough on his second try in this grade, while Sabre Light and Gasat are of interest. The selection would walk this on some of his old form, but in recent times he has not been easy to train and he was comfortably beaten on his reappearance after a 14 month absence last time. At his age he may well just have needed that run, and dropped back to a trip that he has won over on more than one occasion we will take him to come good again. Sabre Light has won four of his last six claimers, two of which were over this trip. He was unlucky last time when beaten and is a serious threat again today in a first-time visor. Gasat is hard to assess, having seen him disappoint on his British debut at Wolverhampton in October. He had prevously been profilic in his native Italy and is not one to write off after just one poor run. Chef De Camp has plenty to prove and the other pair have plenty to do at the weights. Corriolanus is a tentative pick.
