In depth

Verdict

Spot The Subbie can keep up the good work in the finale, with Oscar Snowman, Samarinda and Count Kristo others with claims. Spot The Subbie has suddenly found his form this year, gaining back-to-back successes at Kempton and here. He won a shade cosily last time, and although this is a step up in grade, hopes are high that he can keep up the good work. Oscar Snowman now qualifies for handicaps and tackles 10-furlongs for the first time. He hails from a yard that is not afraid to run its better inmates on the all-weather, and he too has to be kept on the right side. Samarinda caught the eye in defeat here last time and although now aged four, may have more to offer now that the penny has finally dropped, while Count Kristo has been hiding his light under a bushel of late, but should not be totally discounted. However, we just have to support Spot The Subbie in his current mood.
