        Verdict

        Palace Affair took this event twelve months ago and shaped as though the return to this trip would suit when outpaced behind Swiss Lake over 5f at Bath last time. However, the combination of her penalty and the quicker conditions may prevent a repeat of last year's success. Roundtree found trouble in running behind Queen's Logic at Newbury and then pulled too hard in the 1,000 Guineas. The drop in trip will help her to settle and she has to enter calculations while Up Market has been working well since landing a maiden last month but Tempting Fate should prove too classy. Godolphin's charge finished in the frame in both the French 1,000 Guineas and the Coronation Stakes and will take all the beating if able to reproduce the same level of form here.
