In depth

Verdict

A trappy maiden here and as usual in these events the market will be very informative but the principals look to be Red Blossom, Laura's Best and Cinnamon Hill and the narrow vote is given to Laura's Best. The selection was a fair second behind Day By Day last time out. That form looks solid enough and with improvement likely returned to this longer trip she looks the one to be on. Red Blossom rates the main danger on her latest second behind Chicken George but she has had plenty of chances in similar races without taking one and again looks vulnerable to a less exposed type. Cinnamon Hill is another that could go well as she is a well bred filly by Compton Place and with the booking of Ryan Moore looking a positive she should be watched in the market. Shavoulin is another with place claims on her best form but consistency is not her strong point. This is a poor race and stakes should be kept to a minimum but Laura's Best is our idea of the winner.
