Verdict
Miss Frangipane won last time out but she was far from impressive and we will take her on with ESPECIALLY SPECIAL; Kuanyao is the other to consider. Jeremy Noseda's filly Miss Frangipane made hard work of beating Nativity at Folkestone last month, but now she has got a win under her belt she might be capable of going on from that. However, this longer trip is not sure to play to her strengths and she could be worh taking on. We will do so with Especially Special who improved for the step up to this trip at Wolverhampton last weekend. She finished fourth of 12 behind Gassin that day so the form could get a boost by Gassin in the opener here today, but nonetheless it looks solid enough in the context of this race. Kuanyo chased home La Gifted here last month, and once again the form could be given a boost if La Gifted goes well in the opening race here this afternoon. Pacific Bay would have claims on her best form but she put in a below-par effort last time and this drop in trip is not sure to suit. A tough race to call but the vote goes to Especially Special.
