Verdict
Not the strongest of openers but AOHNA is the call with Silver Kate and Spangle Island on the shortlist. Alan King has traditionally farmed races of this type and having ran a creditable second to Mumbles Pier; a repeat of that effort should suffice at this grade. Silver Kate makes a debut for a new trainer. The mare was fourth in the big Doncaster Sales bumper and should be open to plenty of progression. Evan Williams has got off to a good start to the campaign so Spangle Island is respected. She was well held on handicap debut and has to do better to take a hand in this affair. A Haon A Do was disappointing last time out though had shaped with promise in a Tramore event during the summer. Palmito showed nothing in bumpers but it would be folly to dismiss anything from the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard. Knockiterra Lass has a bit to do on the basis of her bumper efforts. AOHNA gets the nod.
