Verdict
Il Duce gets the confident vote in the bumper to round off the card, with Foxtrot Yankee and Killenaule the most likely dangers. The selection ran promisingly on his debut last May and then went close again in a bumper at Ludlow last time behind King Killone. He looks like a winner waiting to happen and he is clearly the one to beat. Foxtrot Yankee shaped with promise when fifth in a bumper on his debut behind Briery Fox. He will need to improve to take this, but that is not out of the question and has to be of interest. Killenaule could be the best of the newcomers as he is nicely-bred and hails from a shrewd yard. As ever in these type of events, the market could provide the clues, but Il Duce sets a good standard for the rest here and he should send favourite backers home happy.
