Verdict
American Embassy can beat Neutral Night and Single Track Mind, with Zorn also to be considered. American Embassy has a couple of placed efforts to his name so far, notably when short-headed by Beauty Of Dreams over nine furlongs in a rough affair at Wolverhampton on 22 December. That was his best effort since joining Vince Smith, and although it was at a lowly level, so is today's contest. The slight drawback is the fact that he is drawn widest of all in box 11, but if he can get out quickly he can overcome that negative. Neutral Night is far more experienced and was successful at Wolverhampton last May. She steps back up in trip after a run of poor efforts over the winter and has a good draw in stall one. Single Track Mind gained his first victory in four years when scoring here just before Christmas, a big drop in trip to seven furlongs working the oracle. Back up in distance now, he should still have a squeak in an equally poor race. Zorn has taken time to get the hang of things but has run well in moderate company lately. He is knocking at the door and is yet another with claims of a sort, but the pin comes down on American Embassy.
