Verdict

A wide open claiming event and we will make Chantry Falls our sporting selection, Esperance and Go Free could be the best alternatives. James Given's five-year-old gelding returned to form at Wolverhampton last week, finishing a close second to Eight Ellington. If he can repeat that performance today he should be capable of beating these modest rivals. Esperance has come up against the improving Tricky Venture on his last two outings, he is well in on official ratings and has very strong claims in this company. Go Free is stepping up in trip this afternoon having displayed plenty of speed to finish second to Johnny Reppin at Southwell last time. On pedigree he should struggle to stay this distance, but nevertheless he may be capable of reaching the frame. Vittorioso is going the right way and is another to warrant respect, however Chantry Falls looks the pick of the weights and just edges the decision.
