Verdict
Field Spark, Stormy Day and Private Benjamin are three against the field in this competitive handicap and the vote is given to Field Spark. The selection was a beaten favourite over this trip at Wolverhampton last time, but he is possibly best judged on his previous close second behind Heathyards Pride, and if he could reproduce that effort here then he would take plenty of beating. Stormy Day is a lightly-raced filly and she failed to settle at Wolverhampton last time, so she could be worth another chance here if she gets the pace in the race she needs. Private Benjamin is dropped in trip after putting up a fair effort when third behind subsequent winner Vanderberghe, so he is another to consider. Swift Alchemist is another who would have chances on the pick of his form, but for the winner we return to Field Spark.
