Verdict

Disappointingly just the five runners line up for this conditions race and while both Indian Skipper and Lujeanie are capable performers, this looks pretty much a match between ARGANIL and Aeroplane, with preference for the former. The selection, who is rated 108 and has 6lbs in hand on official BHA ratings with Aeroplane, is better than he showed when behind Jaconet when last seen here in November so he looks worth siding with. Indian Skipper should be suited by the return to the Polytrack having been well held in recent starts on the Fibresand, while Lujeanie represents the in-form yard of Dean Ivory but also needs to improve on recent form to trouble the judge in this company. Sherjawy is easily ruled out and a bigger threat is likely to come from Aeroplane. The David Evans-trained seven-year-old entire has found just the one too good in each of his last two starts, lost no caste in defeat behind Beauchamp Viceroy but that was over a mile and he is not certain to be suited by the drop in trip so a safer option looks to be Arganil.
