In depth

Verdict

Tony Carroll is in hot form at present and we will give his runner Buzz Kiri another chance to redeem his reputation, Moon Spinner, Birth Of Blues and Zeloso look the main rivals. This son of Gulch has had a couple of recent outings following a seven month holiday and is steadily improving. His latest effort last week was in quite a competitive affair at Wolverhampton and he did well to finish six lengths behind the winner Magical Wit. He could now be spot on for this and he should go close at a decent price. Birth Of The Blues has been off the track for some time but if recapturing his course and distance form of last year he would be a major threat to all. Meanwhile Zeloso likes it round here and it would be no surprise to see him put a couple of poor efforts behind him. Moon Spinner finished second to the 77 rated Dream Magic in a claimer here last time, a much improved performance. If that wasn't a flash in the pan, she looks set to cause problems for the selection. The rest appear to have a bit to find and so we return to Buzz Kiri as our idea of the winner.
