Verdict
It is very difficult to oppose Simply Perfect in the opener, and she is selected ahead of Jawaad. Second to the subsequent Norfolk Stakes winner Dutch Art on her debut, Simply Perfect then finished second to Gilded in the Queen Mary Stakes. That level of form absolutely stands out here and she should prove hard to beat. Fares certainly cannot be dismissed based on breeding. Follow The Flag disappointed at Southwell last time after showing promise on his Goodwood debut, while Jawaad, a 130,000 guineas son of King's Best, attracts plenty of interest based on breeding. Ron In Ernest has not quite shown enough in two starts to be given a strong nomination, which returns us to the selection, Simply Perfect.
