Verdict
Mahrajaan gets the vote in a competitive opener with North Walk and Glenmuir rated as the main dangers. The selection is from a stable in flying form and he won well last time when beating Pirouetting at Warwick. That rival has since run well in defeat and from a fair draw here we think Mahrajaan should be capable of leading them home. Glenmuir is drawn best of the fancied runners here and he has been running consistently well. He missed the break and could not get competitive the last time he raced on this track and he will have to get away on terms tonight if he is to trouble the judge. He is respected, but he may be a little high in the weights at present and for that reason we will take him on. North Walk ran a blinder at Thirsk last time when second behind Minister Of State but he has a high draw here and he is arguably better with some cut in the ground. Stainley is well drawn and may prove best of the rest, but for the winner we will stick with Mahrajaan.
