In depth

Verdict

In this the second division of the maiden that opened our card we have more form to go at and those lines point to giving the verdict to Godolphin's CON ARTIST, after an encouraging debut, that's in preference to Penangdouble O One and newcomer Raqeeb. The boys in blue have had a fantastic latter part of the season and with the pick having only found a couple of potentially useful sorts too good last time we are happy to give him the chance with that run likely to have set him straight. Penangdouble O One ran very green early on in his debut run but looked like a potential winner once the penny dropped. He is another who should be better for that experience and we already know this surface is no problem for him. Raqeeb may need this first outing but is related to Group Class winners so a big run isn't ruled out while Ostentation should be better than he's shown so is entitled to improve. This looks another decent maiden and Con Artist may have a sting in his tail.
