In depth

Verdict

Dab Hand is the pick over the likes of Sanctity and Princess Danah, with Blacktoft best of the remainder. Dab Hand hit winning form over a mile here 10 days ago, making every yard of the running, and that came as no surprise as he was a fine second on his only other appearance here in July. David Simcock's charge now tries a mile-and-a-quarter for the first time since his Windsor debut, but has strengthened up considerably, and can make the most of what still looks a fair mark. Sanctity flopped on his only visit here in July but showed his well being by scoring at Beverley the time before last, and his recent second at Wolverhampton showed that he does handle a Polytrack surface. Princess Danah did nothing wrong at Wolverhampton last time either, and could now be on the upgrade, while any support for Blacktoft would be interesting. However, with a low draw and Ryan Moore in the plate, the selection just has to be Dab Hand.
