        In depth

        Verdict

        Intransigent did win in this grade at Chester in August but subsequent runs have been over 7f and that may be his best distance. Medicean Man's last three runs have been in Group 1 races and he won on Tapeta at Meydan in February. Jeremy Gask's eight-year-old shouldn't be underestimated here while Krypton Factor won at Hamilton in September and was second at Kempton last time. Go Far has won three times at Wolverhampton but has yet to taste success here in six attempts. POLYBIUS made a winning debut on the Polytrack at Kempton and looks a progressive type. He's well worth a try at this level so gets the nod ahead of another three-year-old Golden Steps.
