Verdict
This is another headscratcher with the field being much of a muchness but Bali Star gets the vote ahead Allerton Boy. The selection comes here in good heart following a good second at Southwell last time. He acts here so also has that in his favour and will rarely get a better chance of scoring. Allerton Boy was noted staying on last time and, in a modest event, ought to be competitive. Mangus was also noted staying on well over this trip at Wolverhampton last time, but others are preferred here. Lydia's Look has won on Turf but has shown little on this surface. It's that kind of race really, in keeping with the type of horse these meetings have been framed for. However, Bali Star has solid enough credentials and gets the vote.
