        Verdict

        Piddies Pride is selected to beat Keep Me Warm, with Lottie Dundass and Just Cliff others in with a shout. Piddies Pride, who had won in minor company for two different stables, was bought by new connections after being narrowly denied on her latest start at Wolverhampton where she went down by a short-head to Mitchelland. She seemed to have no problems with the trip that day, and may not be badly treated here. She gets the vote over Keep Me Warm who rallied well when not beaten far in maiden company, also at Wolverhampton. Only lightly raced, he could be open to tons of improvement, and will surely score sometime this winter. Lottie Dundass was Walter Swinburn's first runner as a trainer when fourth in a Southwell nursery, and the original plan was to give her a break. The new master of Church Farm Stables must have had a change of heart then as she lines up here. She must have been in fine fettle at home and should be noted, while Just Cliff has had just three runs to date and has the scope to do well. For the winner today, we shall stick with Piddies Pride.
