In depth
Verdict
Soyuz can follow up a recent victory at the expense of Admiral Compton, Thurlestone Rock and Rafferty. Soyuz absolutely bolted up at Doncaster 10 days ago on what was his debut for Kevin Ryan, romping home unchallenged under Andrew Mullen. The former Michael Jarvis inmate seems to have been revitalised by the change of stable, and if that latest success was no fluke, then he must surely take all the beating here. Admiral Compton has also moved, having been successful over a mile here for Ed Vaughan. Now with Jim Boyle, he will have to be well placed if he is to add to his tally off his current mark. Thurlestone Rock has gained a couple of wins at Kempton over fair company this autumn, but steps up in trip today. Rafferty has not won since March 2003, but has taken on decent company, including last time at Ascot where he was a little unlucky in running. Another Glimpse and Mimic are worth a mention as well, but in the hope that he can repeat the feat, Soyuz is the pick.
