Verdict
The booking of Frankie Dettori catches the eye for Tre Colline who is given the nomination ahead of Whiplash and Queenstown. The selection is dropped slightly in grade after disappointing last time at Nottingham. However he had run well previously here behind Invader and as he goes especially well on this surface he looks to have a solid chance here of getting his head in front. Whiplash rates the main danger as he won well on his penultimate start at Salisbury when beating Joy and Pain. This is more difficult and as he was well beaten in a handicap last time he looks to have plenty to prove at present. Queenstown ran well here on this surface back in November when narrowly beaten behind Bettalatethannever. He will have needed his recent run at Ascot after a break when he finished last but he may be slightly better over a shorter trip so for that reason is passed over. Wizard Looking is from a leading yard and is another worth a second look in the market, but for the winner we return to Tre Colline.
