Verdict
Bookish may be suited by the drop in trip but she still has plenty to learn and so we will plump for Marraasi ahead of Rakeekah and Bon Ton Roulet. The selection has a very decent American pedigree and certainly seemed to improve from first to second runs. She will also have been helped by the quicker surface and with more improvement to come, she can get off the mark at the third time of asking. Rakeekah could easily be suited by the drop back to seven furlongs and may well prefer this surface to the soft ground that she has encountered on two starts to date. Bon Ton Roulet is nicely bred and with her dam winning as a two-year-old (and on debut to boot), a big run could be expected with the stable in tremendous form. Edie Superstar was an expensive purchase and should find this intermediate trip of seven furlongs right up her street. At a price Duty Doctor could go well, however it is Marraasi who is taken to score.
