Verdict
Petite Jack tried to pinch a similar race here at the start of the month but was swamped in the closing stages with Battle Of Marathon showed good speed to land the spoils. The latter looks vulnerable off his new mark, however. Furzig showed he stayed this trip when accounting for Original Choice here on New Year’s Eve and Kyllachy Gala is another recent course and distance winner, though upped in grade today. It was no surprise that CREATIONIST got outpaced over 1m2f last time considering he’d run over 1m6f on his penultimate start. This is his first try over 1m4f and he should be suited. Pactolus has only raced beyond 1m2f once before and is probably best at Wolverhampton.
